After over eleven successful years in the management team of bayernets GmbH:

Munich, 31 July 2018. - Rainer Dumke is the founding Managing Director of bayernets GmbH and has been significantly shaping the course of the Southern Bavarian transmission system operator ever since. Having now reached retirement age and in agreement with the Supervisory Board, Rainer Dumke will end his career as Managing Director of bayernets GmbH on 30 November 2018, after eleven successful years.

Under the leadership of Rainer Dumke

• bayernets GmbH founded the market area NetConnect Germany together with Open Grid Europe GmbH in the year 2008,

• bayernets GmbH became certified as an independent transmission system operator in the year 2012,

• bayernets GmbH implemented the major MONACO project to construct an 87 km long high pressure gas pipeline between Burghausen and Finsing and

• installed the first compressor systems on its transmission system.

Mr Günter Bauer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of bayernets GmbH: "On behalf of the whole Supervisory Board, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mr Dumke for his successful commitment and dedication and wish him all the best for his retirement." The Supervisory Board has decided that there should be no successor for Rainer Dumke and that Dr Matthias Jenn will act as sole Managing Director for bayernets GmbH from 1 December 2018.
