Transmission system operators have calculated the applicable market area conversion levy for 2018, which amounts to approx. 0.2587 €/kWh/h/a. The costs arising from the market area conversion of L-gas to H-gas will be equally distributed and applied on fees for all exit points of the transmission system operators in Germany.

Background: In accordance with Section 10 of the Cooperation Agreement Gas (KoV Gas), the market area conversion levy will be distributed and applied on all transmission systems nationwide and will be added to the network fees at all exit points. Effective from 01.01.2017, a nationwide market area conversion levy has been applicable pursuant to Section 19a of the German Energy Industry Act.
