Munich / 26 February 2013. - On 01.01.2013 bayernets GmbH Munich took over from GASCADE GmbH, Kassel, the gas plants of the former SÜDAL at the German-Austrian border connection point at Burghausen. The gas plants consist of a gas turbine compressor, gas pressure control and measuring systems, grid connections for supplying industrial customers in Burghausen, the connection pipeline of the Austrian storage facility Haidach and an approx. 5 km long gas transmission pipeline from the border crossing in Überackern to the compressor station in Haiming. A marketing concept drawn up by the TSOs for adapting existing shipping contracts was presented to grid customers who are directly affected on 25.10.2012. The marketing concept has been published on the bayernets website.
At the turn of the year, bayernets successfully took over the plants in close cooperation with everyone involved and in consultation with the Federal Network Agency. All new Entry/Exit points of bayernets were integrated into the market area of NetConnect Germany (NCG).
By taking over the plants in Burghausen, bayernets could increase firm import capacity in the supply area of bayernets from 1.5 million kWh/h to 2.7 million kWh/h.
