German transmission system operators publish biogas cost redistribution amount for 2022

For the last time, the operators of the two German market areas NCG and GASPOOL have determined the biogas cost redistribution amount applicable for 2022, which amounts to EUR 0.5740 per kilowatt hour per hour per year (EUR / kWh / h / a). Costs for network connection and biogas feed-in are equally distributed among the fees for exit points to directly connected end consumers and downstream grid operators of the transmission system operators in Germany.

In the sense of § 7 of the Cooperation Agreement in the currently valid version (“KoV”) in conjunction with the „Guideline for biogas redistribution levy“, the TSOs publish the uniform throughout Germany applicable specific biogas levy fee.

In future, the biogas levy for the following year will be determined by the operator of the pan-German market area Trading Hub Europe (THE), which is to start on 1 October 2021.
